I was craving avocado that morning, so I ordered a classic dish of smashed avocado, feta and poached eggs on toast. It's really a very simple dish, but somehow the team at Eurocafe made it startlingly delicious. Everything just tasted really fresh and there was nothing pretentious about it. And the poached eggs, oh my goodness, best I've had in a while. I feel a lot of joy when I see perfect yolks gently oozing out!
Hubby had the hash stack with spinach, salmon, bacon and egg topped off with hollandaise sauce. It got the rare nod of the approval from him! (He usually rates most things with a generic 'not bad'.) I had a bite of the hash brown and it was so crunchy and yummy!
I'm really thankful I found this gem of a café. Surprisingly, there weren't many other customers that morning, because I do think they deserve more! We did find the portion size a tad small for the price but I'll take quality over quantity any day. Service was very attentive and the owners (whom I presume are Sandy and Andy) were so lovely and sweet. It was very nice to see them interacting with their customers in such a genuine and humble way. We will definitely be back!
