It was a late weekday morning, and it was pretty much empty, apart from a couple of tables having a meeting over some coffee. It was too cold to dine in the outdoor area, so we settled for a small table inside, which was cosy enough.
My brunch was a beautiful combination of refined ingredients and both the plating and the flavours oozed elegance. The cured salmon was smooth and delicate, yet slightly dense, and the eggs were light and fluffy. The grilled asparagus were tender and the caviar gave a sophisticated finish.
Hubby had the big breakfast, and it looked marvellous as well. He didn't really like the sausages all that much, but I didn't mind because it meant there was more for me! I swear I steal his food so much nowadays that I end up eating more than him. Guilty.
I really liked this place and I wish I come back for some more weekday brunches or perhaps a lazy lunch. Although it is quite unlikely that I will come this far for a meal, I will definitely be keeping it in mind if I am in the area.
