Proud Mary, Collingwood

A while ago my brother brought me to Proud Mary, Collingwood for a fine breakfast. As expected of a popular café, it was already packed by the time we got there, even though it was still very early in the morning.

I ordered my mandatory cup of hot chocolate, and it had one of the richest foams I had ever tasted. I always love a good cup of hot chocolate!

My brother ordered a latte and even though I don't drink coffee, it looked too pretty to drink!

My brother recommended that I get the potato hash, and it was definitely a great choice. I was a little hesitant at first as I never had kale before, and had always thought that it would taste disgusting, it being a superfood and all. I was proven wrong! I really enjoyed this charred version, and I'm happy to say that I left with a good impression of kale. The potato hash itself wasn't as crispy as I had hoped it to be but it was still enjoyable.

My brother had the coconut and lemongrass rice pudding which looked pretty damn good. He really liked it, so hopefully I'll be able to try it for myself next time.

It's definitely a lovely place for breakfast / brunch / lunch, but I'm not sure if it's worth the queue. Also, I didn't think the service we received was the friendliest. I wouldn't mind coming again, but I won't go out of my way just to visit.
