Happy Lunar New Year, everyone!
I've just come back from a big feast at my family's place. I don't have much extended family in Melbourne so it was just the five of us plus my best friend, but mom still cooked up a storm! We had chao zhu mian (Foochow fried noodles), steamed crabs, sea cucumber soup, di huang miao (Ceylon spinach), lo ack (Teochew braised duck) and steamed prawns. And of course, plenty of fruit. It's been a few hours since the dinner but I am still so full!
